i can't even answer to all of this because  because i didn't read all of it after having to read with my own to eyes someone claim that a victim of oppression is actually PRIVILEGED because of that, because they "have earned the right" to complain and rage about it by being oppressed .. like wow .. wow i really have no words and nothing more to say to this because i honestly cannot fathom someone actually thinking like this and it's honestly not worth spending my energy and time on it so .. ight imma head out, bye

that's not how privilege works though? just because someone can't help being born into privilege and were not aware of it does not exempt them from any blame and gets them a out of jail free card for it? mc doesn't get to say "well it ain't my fault i was born rich and i never knew about all the crimes of my father so i don't have to feel any guilt and nobody has a right to call me out on it" any more than, let's say, white people in the real world get to say "well i can't help being white and also i never saw any form of racism myself  so i'm clearly not part of the problem and oppression even though my family makes money off being racist and i definitely benefit from it simply because of how the system works - so yeah all white people but not me tho" and if someone from an oppressed group, someone (like june) who has suffered at the hands of a prvileged group (in this case the royal family) calls someone out and says "your family hurt me and my people over and over again in such horrific ways so i'm glad they're dead" then that is their right and if june needs time and can't look at mc right now because as he said all he sees is the monster their father/family was then, guess what, that is his right as HE is the victim here and mc has to accept that and maybe take it as an opportunity to realize their privilege and change their way of thinking and use it as an opportunity for growth like i mentioned

again no hate (i enjoy a good discussion) this is just my opinion, but like i mentioned my sympathy definitely lies with the oppressed people and not the oppressor themselves 🤷🏻‍♀️

i also wanted to add that imo THAT scene with the reaction of that certain someone despite hurting (both the mc and us as players) and not being all that fun to read is so so great because a) prime angst material especially of that certain someone is your LI (and that is what i am all about yum) and b) could potentially be the start of some great character development for the mc? like imo it's not enough for the mc to simply go "i'm not my father" especially if the game goes down the route of having mc be the one on throne in the end, they need to actually DO something to show that, they actually need to hear and see what their family did no matter how nasty and vile so they can take that and learn from that and actually say "i know what my family has done, i learned from their mistakes, i won't ever forget so i won't repeat their crimes" you know?

which is why i look forward to mc seeing for themselves what their family has done (i think/hope that we will visit all the home planets of our crew members and learn more about their past one after the other) and for certain crew members to not let mc forget about the injustices that happened to them because of the royal family and for the mc to take all that and use it to grow as a person and a potential ruler 

like this is SO GOOD people, this is some good effin food we are being served here and i for one am looking forward to all of it

i'm honestly surprised to see that so many are surprised about a certain someone's reaction to the mc's origin because to me it was pretty clear from their dialogue in the prior episodes that they held no love for the royal family. and RIGHTFULLY so given what happened to them and their own family. after we got more info about the pasts of all the crew members, and especially reading about what aya, damon and june had to suffer through because of the royal family i am honestly disgusted by what the mc's family did and simply let happen for their own profit so i am right there with that person's (i don't wanna spoil so i'm trying to not name any specific names lol) rage and not being able to feel bad for the death of the cause of their suffering. i actually think they let the mc off the hook pretty easy in the end  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

(and yeah yeah, i know one can argue that the mc was the youngest child and didn't know and couldn't really do anything and should not be held responsible for the sins of their father and all that but at the end of the day they did benefit from the oppression and the horrible crimes their family committed, living a cushy, privileged life while others suffered so incredibly much to make that possible sooo .. i guess most of my sympathies lie elsewhere. obviously i feel bad for the mc and their loss and the pain it causes them but i can't really bring myself to actually feel bad for the death of a bunch of frankly horrible rich people from what we've gathered so far (with like one or two exceptions) and maybe that makes me horrible too but i think i can live with that lmao)

anyways since i've just finished playing through the episode a second time and loving it even more i wanted to once again say what an amazing job you (as in the developers) are doing with this game, it really gets better and better and better. the plot is captivating, the dialogue is incredible and the characters are just .. superb. it's the first game in a long time that really has me loving ALL the characters, as individuals and a group, so again .. great job and i can't wait to play the future episodes (and until then: replay the ones that are out at least a dozen times) <3

oh this was definitely worth the wait! what a great episode. it was like getting stabbed in the back and then getting stabbed in the front as well, for good measure and i loved every single minute of it. :D i'm going after june as my main li (🥺) and now i also added vexx into the mix because why not, right? and let me tell you .. hoooooo boy!! the angst and pain? DELICIOUS. absolutely delicious! *chef's kiss*

for anyone that has yet to play it, you're in for a real treat and i'll leave you with the words of my boy ron weasly (both as a promise and a warning) "you're gonna suffer but you're gonna be happy about it" hehehehe
